Job Summary

The School of Nursing (SON) is accepting applications for the position of a Data Entry Specialist/Office Assistant beginning in fall 2024. This is a 12-month temporary position working anywhere from 40-80 hours per bi-weekly pay period with no more than 1040 hours in a 12-month period. This individual will be responsible for creating and revising database records by categorizing and transcribing specialized and confidential information. This position will also serve as an office assistant for office/clerical needs in the School of Nursing.

Responsibilities*
  • Work with our Clinical Placement Managers to complete all information in databases Complio and ACEMAPP as required.
  • Work with our Clinical Placement Managers to obtain information on existing clinical sites with the preceptor database to establish placements.
  • Follow-up with students and sites/preceptors as assigned by Clinical Placement Managers.
  • Work with Clinical Placement Managers to track clinical placements/meet deadlines.
  • Welcome/greet guests when arriving to the office suite.
  • Answering phones/directing calls in SON.
  • Distributing mail to the mailboxes.
  • Answering basic questions when students/guests ask; direct students to their appointments with faculty.
  • Ensuring all equipment is running appropriately in the Nursing office suite. Make sure copiers, fax machines have paper. etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications*
  • High School Diploma
  • Strong computer and data entry skills with one-year of data entry experience
  • Demonstrate ability in handling confidential information
  • One or more years of administrative experience with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise independent judgment in the performance of duties
  • Professional and outgoing in working with members of our faculty and staff along with students and other visitants

Work Schedule

This position is a 12-month position working part-time and working no more than 1040 hours in a 12-month period.

Modes of Work

Hybrid: A consistent hybrid work schedule (some days on campus and some days working remotely) will be available for this position at this time. Based on the need of the department, this schedule is subject to change.
