Job Profile
Job Summary
Maintain integrity of the Master Patient Index. Analyze the Daily Duplicate Report to identify medical records numbers to be merged. Assist with the resolution of overlay errors. Assist with complex data clean-up and/or other activities related to documentation/chart correction within EHR. Answer incoming calls, in-basket messages/ emails related to duplicate numbers and documentation errors. Performs a variety of duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees: Associate degree or equivalent experience in the HIM Department
Licenses & Certifications: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred
Work Experience: Four (4) years work experience in the HIM Department-related position.
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract), Writing /Reports
Proficiencies: MS Word, Personal Computer, Typing
