Data Scientist, Analytics Responsibilities


  • Perform large-scale data analysis and develop effective statistical models for segmentation, classification, optimization, time series, etc.

  • Design and implement reporting dashboards that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights

  • Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating results to cross-functional groups

  • Work closely with Product or Engineering & Operations teams to proactively create rule and manage decisions

  • Prioritize leads so that the teams work on the most valuable cases

  • Suggest improvements in the tools and techniques to help scale the team.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:

  • 1. Machine learning techniques

  • 2. Working with large data sets and network-based data (TCP or HTTP)

  • 3. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

  • 4. Relational database (SQL or PL*SQL)

  • 5. Developing in scripting language: Python

  • 6. Large scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, or MPI)

  • 7. Quantitative analysis techniques: clustering, regression, pattern recognition

  • 8. Quantitative analysis techniques: descriptive and inferential statistics.
