Data Scientist II

Develop queries and perform extensive programming to access, transform, and prepare data for statistical modeling; perform deep dive diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to support data-driven business decision making; identify and diagnose data inconsistencies and errors, document data assumptions, and forage to fill data gaps; engage with internal stakeholders to understand and probe business processes in order to develop hypotheses; bring structure to requests and translate requirements into an analytic approach; build machine learning and statistical models to solve business problems; leverage Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) platforms and techniques (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras , Spark MLlib ); guide test design, research design, and model validation; provide statistical consultation services; serve as analytics expert on cross functional teams for large strategic initiatives and contribute to the growth of analytic community; prepare and deliver insight presentations and action recommendations; communicate complex analytical findings and implications to business partners . Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days

Requirements:

Requires Master's in Data Science , Statistics, or closely related quantitative field and one year of experience in job offered or in position(s) in Statistics or Data Science including Data Scientist and/or Graduate Research Assistant . Background in education, training or experience must include proficiency with Scala, Spark, Java and/or SAS; demonstrated strong technical skills on machine learning, deep learning and reinforcement learning including regression techniques, neural networks, decision trees, clustering, pattern recognition, probability theory, stochastic systems, Bayesian inference, statistical techniques, deep learning, supervised learning, unsupervised learning; big data technology, cloud and opensource software, including AWS and Azure; solid programming skills in statistical software including Python, R, PySpark and Java, C++, and MATLAB; experienced using AI/ML platforms and techniques including but not limited to TensorFlow, PyTorch , Keras , CNTK, scikit-learn, Spark MLlib ; strong skills in SQL and NoSQL databases; experience in Nature Language Processing or Recommendation System; demonstrated ability to develop a model project, create plans for projects, work with business partners to answer technical or research questions, and prepare and deliver insights and analytical findings and implications to business partners.
