Data Scientist

Insight Global is seeking a data scientist to work within the data team for a large federal client. This person will be partnering with others on the team to discover the answers to questions received by multiple federal agencies. This person needs to be able to think through problems, utilizing math and logic, while at the same time being fluid in their process. The questions posed to this individual and team may not have an answer that exists and will utilize Python to translate the finding in a way that the rest of the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) will be able to conceptualize. Best put we are dealing with unknowns within the unknown.
Compensation - $34.13/hr to $44.67/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Ability to obtain a Clearance
3yrs+ of Python experience.
3yrs+ of Pandas experience.
A background in Chemical Engineering, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
Ability to take questions with unknown answers and utilize scientific methods with a fluid thought process to draw a conclusion to the inquiry.
Ability to sit onsite 5 days a week (Monday Friday)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

3yrs+ of R experience
Active Clearance.
Bachelors or Advanced Degree (Masters / Ph.D.) in STEM or related field.
o Degree in either Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Chemistry.
