Position Description
Seeking a Data Engineer to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to perform
operational data curation to address data management and ensure proper data entry of ODNI mission
data into the IC Data Catalogue for improved data sharing and discovery.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Interfacing with data stewards, data managers, and advance data librarian support across all the
ODNI DCOs to support data access, availability, and provenance
• In collaboration with the ODNI CDO / DIG, providing long term iterative improvement of a data
quality framework to monitor and improve data reliability and quality
• Assisting in defining ODNI data assets
• Developing and implementing data processes for verification, acquisition, mining, and modeling
• Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements such as automating
manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
• Performing data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assisting in the
resolution of data issues
• Assisting stakeholders with data related technical issues and supporting their data infrastructure
needs

Qualifications - Required
• Active TS/SCI with Poly
• Education and relevant experience:
o High School Diploma/GED and 12 Years
o Associate Degree and 10 Years
o Bachelor's Degree and 8 Years
o Master's Degree and 6 Years
o PhD and 4 Years

• Fluency in SQL, Python, and/or R
• Familiarity with Tidyverse open source packages (e.g., ggplot2, dplyr, tidyr, readr, etc.) and
GitHub to develop and maintain methodologies for data cleaning, processing, and analysis
• Ability to accurately query datasets, extract data, and validate the data and results
• Abiltiy to synthesize various datasets and write descriptive intelligence products for executive [1] level audiences
• Familiarity with Jira for project management purposes
• Proactive self-starter and solution-oriented team player that works well with others

Qualifications - Desired
• IC and/or ODNI experience is highly desired
