Database Administrator (SAP Hana)

A employer in San Diego is looking for a Senior Database Admin to manage and maintain the SAP Hana database engine and systems. You will work closely with data modelers to ensure the queries and code than run on the system are memory and CPU optimized. We are looking for individuals who have devops experience, excellent SQL skills and performance tuning experience. This role will involve heavy systems administration and database administration. We also require strong experience in production operations and customer service.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience with SAP Hana in memory database administration
Minimum of 3-5+ years of Database administration expertise, including:
Setup and upgrade of database systems
Backup/recovery
Setup and management of database security (Active directory and SAML integration, user access provisioning and database privilege management)
Knowledge of database design, indexes and performance optimization skills
Experience with database and SQL performance tuning
Linux systems administrator skills (operating system tuning for in-memory data processing)
Shell and python scripting and automation
Ensure memory and CPU optimization
