Job Description
Understanding of database technologies such as: Oracle and preferably GreenPlum
Understanding of maintaining and creating SQL functions
Understanding of maintaining and fine-tuning queries and troubleshooting database connections.
Understanding of working with Enterprise Operations, with other DBAs.
Experience in PL/PGSQL, SQL code development and maintenance
Experience in shell scripting/Linux
Experience in creating, maintaining, and optimizing stored procedures, functions, inline SQL, and ETL processes
Knowledge of database design, query optimization, index management, integrity checks
Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle
Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery, and configuration management.
Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
Understanding of Agile development
Excellent organization skill to meet deadlines, fulfill task assignments, and proactively strives to achieve team objectives
Ensures that best practices are followed in the development of SQL Code and Linux scripts
Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, RTC / Code Repository.
Knowledge and understanding of using Control-M

Excellent Communication Skills

Required Skills:

• 7-10 years of experience in Database Management
• 7-10 years of experience in Database Administration
• 7-10 years of experience in EMC Greenplum
• 7-10 years of experience in PostgreSQL
