Avenir Behavioral Center is a 32-bed adult Behavioral Hospital that has been serving the Surprise Community and surrounding areas since May 2019. We strive on providing excellent patient care. We are looking for flexible, fun, and enthusiastic RNs! We are looking for RNs who want to help out in the community and have a better work/life balance. We have part-time, full-time, and PRN positions available.

All shifts are 12 hours.

Job Summary:

• Provides nursing care through physical and mental assessments, laboratory testing, plan of care, and therapeutic treatments.
• Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders, cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral.
• Maintains a safe and efficient working and treatment environment per facility policies and procedures.
• Communicates effectively with the treatment team to ensure safe, quality care is provided to all patients.
• Provides supervision to Behavioral Health Technicians. Assumes the role of Charge Nurse when assigned.
• Participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
• Performs crisis intervention

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure
• Current BCLS certification
• Current CPI certification (preferred)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

SKILLS:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong interpersonal skills
