Job Description - Project Analyst

Qualifications:
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree program in business or public administration or a combination of experience and training in research, data analysis, and complex project support.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of human resource/pension/benefits administration and/or project support experience.
  • Knowledge of benefit administration, public administration, information technology, human resources, and program analysis.
  • Proficiency in math, data analysis, program evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to communicate with multiple stakeholders, both technical and high-level decision makers. Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message.
  • Ability to understand and analyze the District of Columbia, Federal, and other client laws and regulations related to benefits administration.
  • Advanced skill in business applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Acrobat, FileNet, CLEAR, Berwyn, HRIS/Payroll systems, databases, and other project management tools.
  • Ability to accurately research and analyze sensitive human resources, payroll, and financial information.
  • Ability to understand and organize a problem and then select a method or formula to solve the problem.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Ability to gather and validate appropriate data and information and identify areas that need further research; follows up through resolution.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, independently, and prioritize workload.

Duties:
  • Maintains project files; reviews outgoing correspondence to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper distribution, and conformity; receives and reviews incoming correspondence for dissemination, prompt attention, and action.
  • Assists with the preparation of documents, presentations, research papers, and proofreads all reports and summaries of project status reports; prepares statistical reports and progress reports for monthly and weekly reporting statistics.
  • Utilizes research tools to locate member records, current contact information, member disposition, history of contributions, refunds, etc.
  • Verifies member records and reviews documents for accuracy and compliance with the Department's standards. Follows up on issues requiring attention.
  • Ensures records are properly archived and scanned into FileNet for project tracking purposes.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.
