DCS Project Engineer

A large machinery manufacturing company is looking for a Distributed Control System (DCS) Project Engineer to join their team. This individual should come from a power plant background and have strong controls experience. They will be responsible for configuring DCS hardware and software, leading the commissioning process for DCS installations, and creating documentation for system design, configuration and commissioning. They will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project alignment and satisfaction. This person will be required to travel at least 50% of the time worldwide (most travel being within the US). They will be doing both full scale projects where they will be a part of the entire lifecycle of the projects, as well as service work.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
- Experience in DSC design and implementation in industrial environments
- Proficiency in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) (e.g. Honeywell, Siemens, Emerson, ABB)
- Experience in programming languages such as SQL or C
- Understanding of control theory, process automation, and instrumentation
- Strong knowledge on Windows operating system and setup of active directory
Power Plant background

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
- Certification in relevant technologies
- Process experience within the power plant industry
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations
Familiarity with NERC CIP and DoD regulations for cyber security standards
