Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) in the Program Evaluation and Reporting Unit (PERU) of the Program Operations and Reporting Branch, Medi-Cal Dental Services Division (MDSD), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) will be the primary lead in scheduling, organizing, and facilitating stakeholder engagement meetings for the Division.

The AGPA will oversee the Medi-Cal Dental data research, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Dental Managed Care (DMC), in compliance with the 1915 (b) Waiver Special Terms and Conditions (STCs). The AGPA tracks all dental Public Records Act (PRA) and data requests for completeness as well as coordinate and collaborate with subject matter experts within MDSD, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), and other departments and organizations to ensure the request is completed.

The AGPA must demonstrate knowledge of the state's Medi-Cal program, state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing the Medi-Cal program. The AGPA performs functions that are sensitive and critical to the Department's basic mission, with responsibility to coordinate various projects including the development of broad policy that has multi-department, immediate, and long-range impacts. The nature and extent of the duties of this position may require travel to attend meetings and/or conduct staff training, contract oversight, and may require overnight stays. This will be 5% or less of the time.

    Telework Information

    Non-Exempt Positions:

    This position may be eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in-person and site-based a minimum of two days per week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 - 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.

    Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee's designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
