Job Duties

The Deputy Clerk is assigned operational responsibilities in a high volume, very fast paced office with frequent deadlines. Ensures that the clerk's office runs in a smooth and efficient manner with an emphasis on customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities -

Responsibilities include preparing court documents, filing court documents, case management data entry, scheduling matters for court, preparing correspondence, daily docket preparation, answering phones with a high call volume, assisting customers at the counter, accessing fines and costs, receipting payments, working with outside agencies, and handling mail and legal documents.

Must be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Must ensure that instructions are executed, and legal documents prepared with accuracy and in accordance with state and local policies.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Office related experience and court and/or legal experience is preferred. Applicants should be highly organized and possess significant knowledge, skills and abilities in time management and performance management. Excellent verbal communication skills are required. Must work well with others.

Additional Considerations

Experience handling money is preferred.
