Job Duties

The Deputy Clerk is assigned operational responsibilities and ensures com1's instructions are executed, and legal documents prepared with accuracy and in accordance with state and local policies and procedures.

Applicant must possess thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment. Ability to interact with diverse customers professionally and tactfully. Ability to work under pressure, and able to prioritize tasks and assignments with minimal supervision.

Physical requirements: Periods of standing, lifting/bending to retrieve files.

Answering phone inquiries and front counter assistance, filing, data entry, mailing court orders, receipting payments. Requires knowledge and skills of general office operations and procedures. Verbal and written communications skills; automated records and word processing experience a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; business and/or legal courses preferred.

Additional Considerations

This is a wage position with no benefits. Up to 20 hours per week; $12.00 per hour.
