The New York State Senate is seeking a self-starter with strong people and project management skills to join the team in the Senate Services Department as a Deputy Director.

The most qualified candidates will have:
• A bachelor's degree
• At least 4 years in a management position
• Strong people and project management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Duties Description Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Senate Services, the Deputy will be a seasoned leader with the ability to assist with strategic, managerial, and hands-on levels and to help guide the department across programmatic and administrative functions.

In this dynamic role, you will:
• Proactively identify internal opportunities and challenges.
• Work with the Director to address challenges.
• Manage special initiatives that relate to department needs
• Provide internal oversight of Senate Events, Senate Programs and Senate Awards
• Work with the Director to develop and evaluate department strategies and goals

Additional Comments The salary range is $80,000 to $90,000, commensurate with education and experience.
