Education Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.

Clearance Requirements:
Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a Deputy Member of our Cybersecurity Systems Engineering technical staff, youll apply advanced principles of engineering and management to solve complex problems in the development of technology. As a leader, youll oversee and manage design and development processes as they relate to the engineering of products utilizing principles and technology of physics, mathematics, engineering, and related physical sciences. What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelors in engineering or a related technical field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Ability to optimize all phases of work including requirements management, modeling and simulation, risk analysis and formal trade study tools

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Defense and Space customer relationships (MDA, USAF, SDA, Space Force, Restricted Customers)
  • NSA Cross Domain and Encryption solution expertise and customer experience
  • Experience developing and publishing security deliverable documentation (PPIP, SSP, Key Mgt Plans, ISCP/DRP, Security Architecture)
  • Experience with Enterprise Systems adoption of tailored point solutions for specific threats and exposures
  • Experience with cybersecurity information system security concepts (zero trust architectures, defense in depth, end to end encryption, threat model addressing/secure solutions, trust as a service)
  • Experience applying NIST Risk Management Framework
  • Experience with specific RMF overlays
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security technology and trends
  • Recognizes and incorporates various security designs and lessons learned
  • Effective in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions as they affect the cyber design and implementation
  • Strong ability in reporting relevant cyber systems engineering design
  • Regular contact with senior levels of security work groups and customers
  • Ability to lead cybersecurity working groups
  • Works under limited direction
  • Contact with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering department and with project teams
  • Frequent contact with the external customers security professionals and decision makers
  • Experience with FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, and cloud SRG and reference implementations
  • Familiarity with cloud native environments and tools such as containers and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Rancher)
  • Knowledge of standard DoD security tools STIGs, ACAS / Nessus, HBSS / EPO, etc.
  • Knowledge with Identity Management systems Active Directory, LDAP/Kerberos, SAML, OAuth, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of network security: DNS, TLS, firewalls, NAT, intrusion detection, etc. Software-Defined Networks (SDN) a plus.
  • Broad understanding of security standards such as CVE, CVSS, various NIST standards, FIPS 140 and 199, etc.
  • Experience working in a modern software development environment (Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Good data analysis skills with, e.g., Word, Excel, Python, or other tools
  • Good communications skills: interpersonal, written, and public speaking / presentations

Combined Salary Range

USD $191,051.40 - USD $211,947.60 /Yr.
