Direct and lead automotive seating and interior trim product design analysis utilizing FEA. Support product development with engineering technical expertise and project management support from concept planning to mass production. Coordinate with customers, suppliers, subsidiary companies to ensure all specifications and requirements.

Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:
  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years' experience additional to below:
  • Typically, 6+ years' experience with automotive seating or interior trim product design and analysis with physical testing correlation (experience with LS Dyna/PAM Comfort/Virtual Seat/Optistruct for optimization, CATIA V5, Hypermesh, LS PrePost/Primer preferred)
  • Typically, 3+ years' experience project lead or management
  • Knowledge of safety regulations/standards test setup pertaining to automotive seating and interior products (FMVSS, ECE, DIN, IIHS, etc.)
  • Experience with project/team schedules (experience with MS Projects is a plus)
  • Proficient on MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel locally (driving), domestic and/or internationally (air) without restriction (typically less than 10%)


Primary Position Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain design analysis schedules and support future planning
  • Utilize FEA to ensure safety, performance, and regulation compliance and check/review mesh quality and analysis results
  • Create, check, and maintain FEA reports per ISO 9001
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Directly support customer with analysis results and countermeasures/optimizations
  • Support FEA team overall functions and assist Chief Engineer with all functions
