As a Design Project Manager, you'll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are looking for Design Project Management Professional in Portland, Oregon who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo.

Guide the team in the development of their plan to complete the project and hold authority over that plan. Lead schedule problem-solving.
• Facilitate holistic, reliable, and achievable plans to deliver complete and coordinated work.
• Communicate the team's plan, constraints, and help needed to stakeholders. Negotiate on behalf of the team.
• Know the status of all work.
Establish a coherent project production system and work coordination routines:
• Develop and institute production systems that serve the team. Ensure their effective use.
• Engage performers, discipline leads, project leadership, and discipline management for enrollment, encouragement, and directives to engage effectively in planning.
• Lead recurring planning sessions and Daily Check-ins.
• Facilitate scope breakdown and work structuring to enable a coordinated flow of small multidiscipline batches of work.
• Guide the team and leadership in the prioritization of work. Respond with agility to evolving project needs.
Integrate stakeholders, including Trade Partners, into the design process:
• Coordinate trade constructability engagement with design.
• If trades are performing design, ensure that their work satisfies next-customer needs and that trade commitments are managed.
Responsible for technical quality assurance and control:
• Ensure that required reviews occur and are documented and that appropriate registered professionals stamp work. Always move the team toward building quality into the work.
• Responsible for package ownership and production, deliverables issuance, and coordinating documentation. Manage preparation, facilitation, and adjudication of customer design reviews. Prepare meeting notes.
• Work with design disciplines and design partners to forecast staffing needs, resolve staffing gaps, and forecast efforts to complete. Lead scope and cost change management. Prepare and negotiate changes.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
• 7-10 years of experience managing architectural or engineering design projects
• At least two years of design management experience related to industrial semiconductor facilities
• Willingness to work on-site in west Portland, OR (2+ days per week)
Ideally, you'll also have:
• Master's Degree in Engineering or Architectural
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience as a Project Manager for Semiconductor projects
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
• Fluent in English both in speaking and written technical communication
• Working knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) principles
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden the knowledge base
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
