This position will be responsible for performing a wide variety of duties to support the mission and goals of the Information Technology Division, especially as they pertain to team member support and related services; administering network environment; installing, configuring and maintaining system software; monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues and deploying solutions; planning and implementing upgrades, patches and installations of new applications and equipment; creating and maintaining disaster recovery, security and backup restoration plans; communicating and collaborating with members of management and staff throughout the Division and the company; supporting and adhering to all company core values, safety, operating and regulatory compliance-focused policies and practices.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Supports the mission and goals of the Information Technology Division, especially as they pertain to team member support and related services, by performing a wide variety of duties of which the following are illustrative:
  • Serves as the first point-of-contact for team members seeking technical assistance with the information technology and general software applications, including needs that require immediate attention, as well as those that can be addressed in a more deliberate and planned manner.
  • Makes pertinent inquiries to accurately define service issues and performs trouble shooting using various diagnostic techniques; determines the most viable and timely solution, based upon these assessments and the details provided by the team member.
  • Makes every effort to resolve the issues and "walks the team member" through the problem-solving process; notes any unresolved issues and follows through with appropriate staff, or fulfills the needs personally, to ensure that the team member is satisfied with the services provided.
  • Exhibits a patient, understanding and cooperative attitude and demeanor in all team member servicing activities, especially where the issues or problems may be complex and challenging to solve and where the team member may be particularly stressed and demanding.
  • Makes certain that accurate documentation is made relative to services provided to the team member, including a description of the issue or problem, how it was resolved and any feedback from the team member on the servicing performed.
  • Continually seeks to identify potential for improvements in processes, procedures, techniques or resources that could be instituted that would help the IT Division serve team members in a more timely and effective manner.
  • Interfaces with other IT team members and Division processes and software applications, as required and appropriate, in order to integrate activities and make sure that efficient service delivery and internal communications are maintained.
  • Assists with planning, research, design and acquisition of new or upgraded systems and hardware; maintains current knowledge of network, hardware and software solutions and recommends enhancements, as appropriate.
  • Assists with training, instructing and developing IT competencies of team members, as requested and needed.
  • Fulfills all requirements of the position relating to maintaining accurate, complete and organized records; provides a wide variety of reports to appropriate parties, as requested and required.

Actively supports communications and relationship building activities with clients, prospective clients, subcontractors and other parties; assists in building trust and confidence by exhibiting professional, competent and friendly image.
  • Proactively, professionally and with a team-focused attitude collaborates and communicates with members of management and team members throughout the Division and the company to integrate activities and achieve goals.
  • Supports and, as appropriate, actively participates in industry and outside groups and events, in order to project a positive image of M-K.
  • Complies with established company operating policies and procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support the adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
  • Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of the company's commitment to a safe working environment.
  • Responds to inquiries or requests relating to his/her particular area within given time frames and within established policy.

Physical demands are minimal and primarily performed in an office setting; however, some lifting of equipment (up to 50 lbs.) may be required. Work environment is primarily within office settings. However, some travel may be required to support information technology services, attend various events, make deliveries or pick up various items, etc. Benefits:
