Cloud FinOps and Governance Specialist:

The role involves managing Cloud governance on cost management, forecasting, policy management, security compliance, DR, and maintaining dashboards.

Strong knowledge on Azure spend tracking is required to effectively track and distribute charges.

The role will work closely with Cloud engineering and operation teams.

Key responsibilities include assisting in the development of the cloud control framework, staying updated on cost optimization strategies, driving FinOps value, providing forecasting and reporting on Azure resource spend, and partnering with various teams to improve FinOps, cost management, and reporting capabilities.

Technical skills required include knowledge of Azure cost management, financial principles, business analytics, technology controls, governance processes, and experience with cost allocation and compliance tools.

Cloud FinOps with a blend of technology operations and cost management is required for this role.

Assist the Cloud governance with the continued development and evolution of the cloud control framework and governance processes, including underlying toolsets.

Partner with the Global team to create effective design, analysis, and remediation of controls

Stay educated on the latest cost optimization strategies and technologies; gather insights and develop new opinions and strategies around cloud optimization and present solutions to leadership.

Drive FinOps value by helping customers in understanding their cloud spend based on their business goals and budget, create, maintain month-end and quarter-end reports.

Provide reporting on Azure resources and offer actionable intelligence to right-sizing and optimization efforts.

Provide input and tracking of cloud costs to the overall financial budgets, forecasts, and actuals.

Partner with the product and infrastructure teams to ensure appropriate tagging and alerts strategies are deployed and maintained at scale to manage costs.

Partner with the Cloud Enablement team to define and prioritize improvements to our FinOps, cost management, cost governance and reporting capabilities.

Track customers at risk and escalate through the customer escalation process.

Identify Security Vulnerability Mitigation Plans, collaborate with customers to remediate Security Vulnerabilities

Track customer Security Risks and escalate through the customer escalation process.

Baseline Azure Security Score for ADUSA Azure and execute plans to show month over month improvement.

A bachelor’s degree in a related field and significant experience in Azure Cloud IT financial management, tools, and governance framework are necessary.
