Our client in the utility space is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team. This person will be the sole DevOps engineer and will be responsible for deploying and maintaining their legacy and new application environments. This will be onsite in West Palm Beach, FL 1 day/week. Responsibilities include:
Working with Business/Compliance Analyst to sort through logs to pass to dev team
Supporting server and firewall issues
Creating GitHub Actions via YAML files
Supporting any system outages that occur
Working to get applications automated
Pay Rate: $35-50/hr depending on experience

Required Skills & Experience

Experience with GitHub
o Runners (self-hosted)
o Workflows
o Secrets (responsible for securing credentials)
o GitHub Actions (creating YAML files)
Supporting and maintaining their legacy code environment consisting of C# (ASP,.Net, and Blazor), Java (Spring), and Angular/Vue.
Understanding of how to configure different development environments (C#, Java, Angular)
Solution-minded with a go-getter attitude
Flexibility to work on-call hours (typically get 1-2 alerts/month)
Experience with Docker
o Creating docker compositions
o Understanding of scaling, clustering, and deploying on multiple, synchronized nodes.
