Role Overview:In this position, you'll be involved in cross-enterprise initiatives and large-scale vehicle and product launches, driving Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps principles, culture, tools, and processes. We're not just building a product; we're building a community of expertise and engagement at Ford.
Objectives of this Role:
  • Implement and maintain new Continuous Integration tools and infrastructure.
  • Understand the changing needs of developers and translate them into action items.
  • Create new ways to automate and improve the Continuous Integration process.
  • Test and examine code written by others.
  • Identify technical problems and develop updates and fixes.
  • Work with other teams in the organization to ensure adherence to our best practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up, maintain, and optimize pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
  • Deploy updates and fixes as required to ensure Continuous Integration.
  • Develop solutions to integrate with internal back-end systems as needed.
  • Perform root cause analysis of development and production build and pipeline issues.
  • Develop automation to enhance current processes.
  • Develop new procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Required Skills:
  • Strong foundation in System Engineering and Administration (Linux, Windows).
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with Version Control/Repository Management tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Circle-CI).
  • Experience with Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, Lens).
  • Experience with log management tools (Elastic Stack, Grafana Loki, FluentD).
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or a similar software engineering role.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree
