Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join a government consulting firm located in Ft. Liberty, NC in a 100% onsite opportunity. The DevOps Engineer will be supporting JSOC (Joint Special Operations Command) with system and software enhancements and leveraging data analysis to optimize existing system.

Responsibilities:

• Design server and application architectures as an intermediate systems engineer.
• Administer and maintain server hardware and software.
• Ensure system security, monitor usage statistics, and protect against unauthorized access.
• Maintain and modify configuration settings and baseline configurations.
• Implement troubleshooting and incident response procedures.
• Address system-related issues.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior administrators.
• Conduct training, motivation, discipline, and performance evaluations for assigned employees.
• Stay current with operating systems/software analysis and technological advancements.
• Recommend future projects and directions to management.
• Provide expertise in the development or modification of software programs to enhance operating systems.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience and skills in Cloud DevOps, including platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS, or GKE.
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience with 4-6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Active Secret Clearance

Compensation:

• $120,000-130,000/ year annually *depending on experience*
• Long term contract on a stable contract
