An employer is looking for an AWS Engineer to join their Incident and Server Request team that handles Tier 3 service requests. in support of development, modernization, and migration of a government multi-cloud environment with 30+ customer tenants and growing. This person will be developing AWS systems requirements and design specifications. They will be engineering AWS cloud and deploying them within a government environment. Their key responsibilities will include incident response and troubleshooting, monitoring and optimization, and AWS infrastructure management. They will serve as an escalation point from Tier 2 support for complex incidents and outages within the AWS GovCloud Environment. This is a fully remote position that requires working online from 8 AM to 5 PM EST.

Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to obtain a DHS public Trust Clearance
- AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
- 5+ years of integration and systems analysis experience focused on AWS cloud services and infrastructure
- 3+ years of hands on experience with AWS services included but not limited to EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPC configurations, RDS databases, and other services
- Must have some sort of lead experience and managing Tier 2 engineers
- Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and resolving high-priority incidents in large, multi-tenant environments
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of AWS Govcloud and deploying them in Government Environments
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates or Terraform
- Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other automation scripts to troubleshoot and resolve issues

- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
- Relevant Agile Certification
Other Certifications such as Red Hat Ansible
