Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This non-exempt, non-supervisory position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Diabetes Education Team, Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses. This position is the first point of customer service contact for diabetes patients, physicians and other clinic staff.
The Diabetes Education Team provides services at two main locations, Downtown (Sacramento) and San Juan (Carmichael), and rotates services to other Mercy Medical Group locations. This position may be required to support services at the other locations as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience in physician practice setting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and willingness to learn Dignity Health patient scheduling and electronic medical report applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification preferred.
