We invite you to join our highly dynamic team as a Diabetes Educator I. This position helps cover ambulatory and inpatient diabetes education needs throughout our Scripps Health organization across San Diego county.

As a Diabetes Educator I, you will provide diabetes-specific clinical, educational, and/or research services in a variety of settings. Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, community, and/or research programs.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • A minimum of two years providing diabetes education as an RN, RD or other CDCES eligible role required.

Required Certification/Registration:
  • Current AHA BLS
  • Licensed to practice in the State of California as an RN, or RD or other licensure/education with eligibility to become CDCES certified through discipline standard or unique qualifications pathway.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • For RNs, a bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
