A Radiologic Technologist works under the direction of a radiologist utilizing radiographic, fluoroscopic and other high-tech imaging equipment. Population served based on scope of services in the department.

Responsibilities:

• Performs exams following modality specific protocols resulting in high quality images using appropriate imaging techniques.
• Maintains documentation and insures accuracy of all pertinent patient and procedural data such as patient history, exam title, patient demographics, laterality markers, and modality specific questionnaires and screening tools.
• Prepares patient for procedure: providing instructions to obtain desired results. Gain cooperation and minimize anxiety as per patient education standards.
• Conducts ongoing patient assessment including monitoring of the patient's condition and assuming the responsibility for provision of physical or psychological needs during procedures ensuring patient safety. Provides pre and post procedure patient education.

Education/Experience Required:

• Graduate from an A.M.A approved school of Radiologic Technology
• NYS License required
• CPR certification required before end of orientation

Summary:

• Location: Northern Dutchess Hospital (Rhinebeck, NY)
• Work Type: Per Diem 12 hr shifts
• Work Schedule: 6:45 am-7:15 pm week days
• Salary Range: $22.25 - $41.32/hr
• Department: Diagnostic Radiology
