Summary
The Die Cutter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining die-cutting
machinery to produce accurately cut and shaped materials, such as paper, cardboard, and other
substrates. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and
resolve issues to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities
• Machine Operation:
o Set up and operate die-cutting machines according to job specifications and
customer requirements.
o Adjust machine settings to ensure precise cutting and shaping, meeting quality
and efficiency standards.
o Monitor machine operations to detect and resolve malfunctions, ensuring smooth
production flow.
• Quality Control:
o Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and
specifications.
o Perform routine checks and maintenance to maintain machine performance and
product quality.
o Document and report any issues related to product quality or machine
performance.
• Maintenance:
o Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs on die-cutting machines to ensure
optimal performance.
o Coordinate with maintenance technicians for major repairs and technical support.

o Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to safety and maintenance
protocols.

• Efficiency & Productivity:
o Optimize machine performance by making adjustments and calibrations to
improve production efficiency.
o Monitor production output and make recommendations for process
improvements.
o Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Safety & Compliance:
o Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
o Comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
o Participate in safety training sessions and report any safety concerns or incidents
to the supervisor.

Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in
machine operation or a related field is preferred.
• Experience:
o Previous experience operating die-cutting machinery or similar equipment in a
manufacturing environment. Bobst (102, 104, 106, 142, Expertcut, Mastercut,
etc.)
o Knowledge of die-cutting processes and materials is a plus.
• Skills:
o Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
o Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
o Ability to read and interpret job specifications, diagrams, and manuals.
