Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various diesel-powered equipment, including asphalt pavers, rollers, loaders, and trucks.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and manuals.
  • Repair and replace faulty components, ensuring all equipment meets safety and performance standards.
  • Conduct test drives and inspections to ensure proper operation of repaired equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.
  • Travel to local job sites for on-site maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the shop and at job sites.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
  • Experience with heavy construction equipment is a plus.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and manuals.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

Hours:

This position required work from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
