Responsibilities of a Dietary Aide

• Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to residents according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences
• Ensuring that meals are served in a timely and appealing manner, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Collaborating with the dietary manager and culinary staff to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs
• Providing excellent customer service to residents and guests, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and courteously
• Following proper food safety and sanitation protocols at all times, including storage, handling, and cleaning procedures
• Assisting with dishwashing, kitchen cleanup, and other tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications of a Dietary Aide

• Previous experience as a dietary aide in a long-term care facility (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
