Ridgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center is seeking an experienced Director of Dining Services. The primary responsibility of the Director of Dining Services include establishing and maintaining all standards of quality and productivity within the Dietary Department that enhances the quality of life for those residents entrusted to our care.

Primary Job Responsibilities of the Director of Dining Services - Dietary Manager:
  • Establish, document, direct, and assist with general kitchen and dining room sanitation procedures
  • Prepare schedules for all shifts, for all kitchen and dining room staff and post in their work areas
  • Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and supervise a full complement of staff
  • Comply with all state, local, or federal rules, regulations, and licensing requirements related to health, safety (OSHA) and general operations of the Dietary Department
  • Cooking will be a daily responsibility

Director of Dining Services Expectations:
  • Understand how to approach and communicate with all residents
  • Maintain and sustain a safe community and workplace
  • Follow Healthcare's Policies, Procedures, and Manuals
  • Accept other duties as assigned

Job Requirements of Director of Dining Services- Food Service Director
  • Must be a Certified Dietary Manager with at least 2 years of experience
  • Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary, and\or Dietary Manager Certification preferred, or the ability to become certified
  • Serve Safe certification or equivalent required
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience within a dietary environment
  • Experience in fine dining preferred
  • Must have a working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations; knowledge of nutrition and diet, and kitchen sanitation
