The Coastal Harbor Health System is hiring a Director of Facility Plant Maintanence.

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 114-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50 bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. We offer compassionate patient care to those who need it the most, serving not only local patients, but also those located across the country. The Plant Ops Director supervises staff who participate in maintaining a safe, functional, physical environment for clients, employees and guests and in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Compass Intervention Center System. The Plant Ops Director directs the activity of the Maintenance department through their daily activities, working to conduct the day to day operations and regular inspections of buildings and grounds for safety concerns, maintains preventative maintenance program in all areas, monitors all product costs and use of corporate approved vendors, develops and implements safety plans as required by JCAHO, and is familiar with OSHA, and EOC standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • The Plant Ops Director is responsible for supervising and providing maintenance services as needed and/or assigned; assisting in various maintenance activities and addressing immediate operational safety concerns. The EOC Director will also perform tests, inspections and preventive maintenance of facility equipment with minimal supervision. The EOC Director will take on call duties.
  • To ensure the maintenance of a safe, clean, healthy physical environment for clients, staff, and guests of the organizations. Schedules work based upon established priorities, budgetary constraints and agreed upon plan of preventative maintenance. This position requires working with other maintenance staff to ensure that maintenance tasks are performed in a safe and timely manner.

Qualifications

Director of Facility Plant Maintanence Job Requirements:

  • A two year technical or trade school/technical coursework or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Prefer prior maintenance experience in a facility, health care, or facility setting. Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software.
  • Performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and to troubleshoot, repair and replace parts in equipment throughout the hospital.
  • Ability to move continuously in required in completion of job requirements.
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, run, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, push, pull and twist.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds may be required without assistance.
  • Ability to work under any weather conditions, inside or out, without regard for temperatures any time of the day or night.
