Position Summary
The Nursing Director reports to the hospital's VP of Nursing and has 24-hour responsibility for patient care within the hospital. This position is responsible for supporting and modeling a professional culture focused on quality, patient safety, employee engagement, fiscal responsibility, and patient experience and is clinically, administratively, and fiscally accountable for assigned patient care areas. The Director assures that the mission, vision, and values of the health system are consistently implemented within his/her scope of responsibility. The Director facilitates the delivery of care by setting professional standards in an open, creative, accountable, non-threatening and supportive environment. This includes empowerment of staff, providing resources and commitment to trust and respect for all.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and leadership guidance to the entire Perioperative service line for Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center and Asante Ashland Community Hospital.
- Implement and oversee quality improvement in initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and department performance.
- Monitor financial performance, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement strategies to improve financial/operational health without compromising patient care.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years progressive leadership experience including Perioperative nursing experience
- Required:Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Preferred : Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- RN: Registered Nurse by the Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start.
- TCRN: Trauma Certified Registered Nurse
