Description

Directs the administrative, financial, human resources, and auxiliary service operations such as bookstore, copy center, food service, and vending contracts of the Department of Business Services.
  1. Directs the activities of the department in establishing university auxiliary contracts, procurement operations, human resources and payroll operations, to ensure compliance with state and university guidelines.
  2. Directs the activities of the department's business staff, review and approve departmental reconciliations of financial documents. Oversees the review and approval of the personnel documents for various departments within the division and oversees the UH Foundation process.
  3. Serves as contract administrator to the University for System auxiliary contracts to ensure contract compliance and monitor vendor performance.
  4. Administers and leads the university's meetings of the contract advisory groups including System advisory groups.
  5. Oversees the collection, distribution, and reconciliation of contract commissions.
  6. Serves as University mentor/advisor to contract representatives.
  7. Serves as the liaison for the department/division within the University community.
  8. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelors and 5 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
