Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Provides daily and strategic administrative oversight and operational control for the assigned Cardiovascular departments. Implements monitoring in the fiscal management of the department. Manages department budget within fiscal year approved targets. Explores and initiates revenue enhancement activities such as program development.

Responsibilities:
  • Assures departmental competency and compliance to all regulatory, accreditation and hospital standards of care.
  • Prepares and justifies annual budgeting including, anticipates realistic volume trends, maintains effective staffing and leadership development plans, determines productive and non-productive expenditures, determines and prioritizes capital expedites and determines non-labor expense requirements justified.
  • Implements control in fiscal management of the department, manages department budget within fiscal year approved targets, explores and initiates revenue enhancement activities such as program development.
  • Develops, implements and monitors department safety management programs which includes Workers' Compensation, patient safety and written safety procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related health care discipline required and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.

Preferred:
  • R.N. or RT-AHA healthcare license in state of practice is preferred.
  • ACLS and BLS preferred.
