Aspirus Central Region Medevac in Mosinee, WI is seeking a MEDEVAC SERVICES DIRECTOR to join our team!

Understands and supports the philosophy and policies and procedures of Aspirus Wausau Hospital and system. Works collaboratively to produce, nurture, and sustain a professional practice and healthy work environment that affords and enhances patient care effectiveness and efficiency through leadership to multidisciplinary teams, effective physician relationships, and a shared vision and dedication to the future of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. This person has 24-hours/7-day week accountability for the overall supervision of all the healthcare providers in the area under their direction. Is responsible for the recruitment and retention, performance review, professional development, budget formulation, and quality outcomes. Leads the planning process for the organization and delivery of patient care for designated area.

This position is responsible for strategic leadership and direction for Aspirus Transport (MedEvac) Services specific for their assigned duties and assist System Director in system strategy The scope of accountability includes overseeing and understanding all relevant dimensions of the services within the region. This includes a comprehensive understanding of the market, regional EMS services, dispatch services, air, and ground medical transport services, as well as operational, financial, and quality of Transport (MedEvac) Services within the region. Establishes necessary relationships to promote quality care across the continuum. Is responsible for producing, nurturing, and sustaining a professional practice environment that affords and enhances patient care effectiveness and efficiency through leadership to and with multidisciplinary teams, and a shared vision and dedication to the future of Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the system.

HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours each pay period. Day shift.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of air and ground emergency medical services acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in EMT-Paramedic, EMS Management, Healthcare Administration, or Nursing.
• A master's degree in business or healthcare related field completed prior to hire or within a mutually agreed upon period.
• Five years' experience in an air and/or ground-based EMS or hospital-based program is essential for this position.
• Previous experience in the supervision of personnel, evaluation of program operational, strategic, and quality outcomes, and budget preparation and resource utilization beneficial.
• An active Wisconsin nursing or paramedic license is required.
• Possesses diplomacy, problem solving, conflict management and resolution, team building, collaboration with stakeholders and disparate parties, and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Membership in appropriate professional organizations is beneficial.

Aspirus MedEvac medical transportation service provides 24-hour emergency air and ground medical transport for critically ill and injured individuals of North Central Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and safety to our patients. Aspirus MedEvac operates critical care ground transfer ambulances from Wisconsin ground bases in Weston, Mosinee, Wisconsin Rapids, Medford, Plover, Portage, Rhinelander, Eagle River, Woodruff and Upper Michigan bases in Ontonagon, Iron River and Crystal Falls. In addition to the Critical care Ground Transports, Aspirus MedEvac also provides 911 coverage for Iron County MI, Lincoln County WI, Oneida County WI, Taylor County WI, Vilas County WI, and Watersmeet MI. The ground units are staffed with Critical Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses and EMTs. MedEvac air is staffed with a pilot, a Flight Nurse and a Flight Paramedic and is capable of transporting one patient.
