The offer range for this full-time, exempt role is $90,000 - $110,000 + a 10% annual discretionary bonus. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:

What you'll get to do...
Employee Relations:
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters.
- Receive, review, and assess employee complaints, ensuring accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all concerns.
Lead and manage complex workplace investigations, conducting thorough, impartial, and timely investigations into employee complaints, misconduct, and policy violations. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners, serving as a trusted resource for employee relations matters.
- Provide expert guidance to managers on effective coaching and counseling techniques, progressive disciplinary actions, performance improvement strategies, and conflict resolution methods.
- Identify trends and patterns in employee issues to proactively address systemic problems
- Facilitate resolution of employee issues developing and implementing action plans to address concerns
- Escalate complex issues to SVP, Human Resources when necessary.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with team members and business leaders.
- Promote a positive work culture and open communication
- Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions to address concerns proactively
Labor Relations:
- Coordinate, administer, and manage all aspects of labor relations for collective bargaining unit employees to ensure compliance with agreements and regulations.
- Manage collective bargaining agreements and negotiations.
- Manage all grievances and oversee processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and work with managers to resolve labor relations issues.
- Lead highly complex and sensitive workplace investigations, making objective recommendations and drafting comprehensive reports.
HR Administration and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory activities such as wage order, EEO, AAP, OSHA/Safety, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment, FMLA, and FLSA.
- Maintain accurate employee data in the company's HRIS system, including new hires, terminations, and organizational changes.
- Oversee labor relations activities and ensure compliance.
- Compile and format reports and data from Workday system as needed.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in recruitment by posting positions, composing offer letters, scheduling interviews, and initiating background checks.
- Conduct new employee onboarding, including orientation, paperwork, background checks, and I9s.
Qualifications:
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification highly preferred.
Experience:
- Demonstrated track record of 8+ years in progressive HR roles, with expertise in employee relations and complex workplace investigations.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) managing labor relations in a unionized environment, including successful collective bargaining negotiations.
- Strong background in interpreting and applying labor agreements and employment laws.
- Proficiency in handling HR challenges in fast-paced, dynamic work environments.
- Valuable experience in 24/7 operations or event-based industries (preferred).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of California employment laws, including wage and hour, employee rights, safety regulations, and labor laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS and database systems, preferably Workday or similar ERP systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Self-directed with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional customer service focus and ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
Work Schedule Requirements:
- Ability to work an event-based schedule, present for 70% of Golden 1 Center live events.
- Willingness to regularly work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compensation:
