This Float Pool/Patient Experience Director opportunity is full time ata 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule. This dynamic individual will p rovide administrative leadership by directly supervising the staff and functions of Northern Nevada Health Systems Float pool. Assures quality care is provided in a safe, timely and effective manner. Consults with staff, physicians and CNO on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Participates in and maintains performance improvement activities within the department. Director has 24/7 operational responsibility for the department. Functions collaboratively with members of Northern Nevada Health System management to identify and monitor patient experience strategies. Utilizes patient experience data collection resources and feedback to facilitate processes resulting in improvement of patient perception. Assist departments with operational improvements to positively impact patient experience scores.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assists the managers/Program Coordinators in promoting the clinical service lines, new program development and strategy by engaging team members to enhance market share/expansion. Develops business plans or request for proposals as requested/required. Understands the impact of market forces on Hospital objectives and direction.
  • Directs and coordinates the quality improvement process and other safety programs. Ensures that applications and concepts are sustained/improved in the departments. Supports system wide process improvement and incorporates principles while working with leadership ensuring application of evidenced based practice in the departments of responsibility. In improving processes, manages people through changing conditions
  • Ensures highest integrity for the business operations for assigned departments. Oversees the development of capital and operating budgets through collaboration with CNO. Strategically positions the departments to react effectively to unplanned circumstances, demands and challenges while creating revenue enhancements and cost reduction practices.
  • Assist Patient Experience Coordinator with monitoring patient experience scores weekly/monthly while identifying improvements, decreases, trends in Press Ganey and HCAHPS. Report data trends monthly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in nursing and masters prepared in nursing, education, or a health-related field. Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as consumer advocacy, patient relations or related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of nursing leadership experience preferred
  • BLS Certification
