Excelitas is currently seeking a qualified Director of Insurance & Enterprise Risk Management to direct the development and optimization of our global insurance program to manage risk and minimize costs. Responsible for the design, implementation and governance necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company's operational and strategic risk. Develops Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to an enterprise risk management framework.

Responsibilities:

• Creates and designs processes that identify risk exposure and classify, measure, and manage insurable risks;
• Evaluates the appropriate mix of insurance coverage for Excelitas and makes recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors;
• Manages relationships with insurance broker(s) and vendors;
• Manages the insurance procurement and renewal processes. Also closely supports all insured claims;
• Ensures Excelitas's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations, rating agency standards, and strategic imperatives of the Company;
• Establishes the Enterprise Risk Management architecture for the company;
• Monitors and analyzes risks within the company's business units and reports on these risks to the Board;
• Chairs or provides key inputs into the company's enterprise risk or other committee that oversees the enterprise risk management process and ensures alignment with organizational objectives.

Requirements:

• BS (graduate business or legal degrees are a plus);
• 10+ years of experience working in insurance and/or risk management;
• Ability to effectively multitask and operate independently, solving problems;
• Significant experience in selecting, negotiating with and managing outside vendors;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Experience interacting with Executive Leadership and Board of Directors.
