Position Overview

As a member of the Investment Data & Systems team, the Director, Investments Data Engineer will be a data professional focusing on the implementation and support of the investment data strategy. As part of this role, this individual will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and accessibility for end users and integration with other systems.

Responsibilities

•  Engineer data systems, warehouses, and processes to ensure that data is accurate, complete, and accessible to the people who need it, when they need it.
•  Implement and support department-wide business intelligence, analytics, data warehousing, and data management.
•  Work with with IT in the execution of Investments data and technology vision.
•  Mentor other data solutions team members and encourage a collaborative environment while promoting best practices.
•  Lead the build out of Investments data sets for reporting.
•  Develop and design reports using data visualization software such as Power BI and Tableau.
•  Source, transform, and integrate investment data.
•  Drive projects and initiatives that drive the Investments data strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics, or equivalent working experience, AND
• 7+ years' experience in the financial or technology industry INCLUDING:
o 5+ years' experience working with operational data stores or an enterprise data warehouse
o 5+ years' experience with data management processes, functions, and methodologies
OR
• Master's, MBA, ASA, or FSA AND
• 5+ years experience in the financial or technology industry INCLUDING:
o 5+ years' experience working with operational data stores or an enterprise data warehouse
o 5+ years' experience with data management processes, functions, and methodologies

Preferred:
• Experience with data visualization software, e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
• Experience with SSRS, Crystal Reports, or other reporting tools.
• Experience with report design, development and deployment.
• Familiarity with BlackRock Solutions Aladdin, Bloomberg, MarkitEDM or other Data Management Platform.
• Asset Management\Investments industry knowledge.
• Advanced SQL/Query Skills.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, e.g., Python, Java, C#, etc.
• Knowledge of portfolio and fixed income analytics.

The general pay range for this position is between $101,685 and $151,435. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
