We are currently recruiting for a Director, Learning and Organizational Development at the Corporate Office in the Nashville, TN.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Learning and Organizational Development will lead the planning, design, implementation and administration of related programs and organizational improvement initiatives. This role will partner with corporate and field stakeholders as well as external vendors as needed. This role is a key driver of our People Strategy to attract, engage, develop and retain high performing talent and to achieve our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Guides and collaborates closely with HR leadership, cross-functional partners, and other stakeholders to develop a holistic approach to Learning and Organizational Development strategies tied to business needs and outcomes.
  • Develops and maintains competency models to align role expectations and development opportunities.
  • Creates and curates innovative and effective learning materials utilizing contemporary instructional design methods, includes instructor led, virtual learning as well as eLearning design.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for technology-based learning through a centralized Learning Management System (LMS) including governance and vendor relations for system and content providers.
  • Analyzes data related to performance and business metrics to create insights, and recommend strategies and resources to improve performance outcome measures.
  • Responsible for a New Employee Orientation and Onboarding experiences to ensure new hires have an informative and comprehensive experience that equips them for success.
  • Provides coaching to field and corporate resources to improve outcomes.
  • Partners with HR Directors, HRBPs, and various other departmental heads and managers ensuring proper execution of ongoing departmental training programs to achieve the desired results.
  • Partner with Clinical Education leader and Compliance to create the annual training requirements, monitor completions, and secure external content/vendors to support.
  • Create learning standards and expectations for each stage of the employee life cycle and level of employment.
  • Create virtual learning standards and guidelines and prepare all virtual learning facilitators to deliver consistently. Identify measures and monitor ongoing.
  • Partner with other discipline thought leaders to create meaningful development programs to support their goals (i.e. Lead Well). Bring the Learning thought leadership to guide/influence the creation of programs.
  • Collaborates with Decision Support team and HRIS to establish and maintain training metrics and to evaluate the effectiveness of training.
  • Manage operations of the Learning and Organizational Development team including program administration, budgets, capacity planning and KPI tracking
  • Serves as SME for enterprise-wide change management support.
  • Works with stakeholders to effectively manage change.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Adult Learning, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Human Resources, or related field. Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of direct experience in learning and development in a medium to large company; equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Proven Change Management experience and expertise
  • Hospital/healthcare industry experience required.

  • Possess advanced knowledge and skill in learning theory, adult education, and cognitive science
  • Possess advanced knowledge and skill in organizational development, behavior, diagnosis, change, and culture
  • Possess advanced knowledge, skill, and experience in corporate education, workforce development
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management, instructional design, public speaking, presentation, facilitation, coaching, writing, and communication skills
