The Director M&A and Post Merger Integration, Flex Commercial Group will be based in San Jose ,CA or Austin, TX or Remote. This position will play a key role in the design and the execution of the Flex commercial growth strategy. Reporting to the VP Commercial Strategy, the role will interface with the Flex Business Unit and Corporate M&A teams to drive the M&A process from origination to post-merger integration.

The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding analytical and advisory skills, strategic thinking, the ability to plan, manage and deliver projects independently, excellent communication/influencing skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the Flex senior leadership team.

The M&A Integration Director will lead and manage the seamless integration of acquired companies into our existing business structure. This role requires strategic planning, exemplary execution skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve the desired business synergies and growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in M&A integration within the manufacturing or supply chain sectors and a solid understanding of valuation models.

What a typical day looks like:
  • M&A Strategy: Partner with Business Units to devise M&A strategies, identifying sectors and companies that might be viable business targets
  • Integration Planning and Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive integration plans including detailed workstreams, timelines, and deliverables to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all integration activities, providing regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with finance teams to understand valuation models, assess financial performance, and ensure alignment with projected synergies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage integration risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful integration outcomes.
  • Change Management: Facilitate cultural assimilation and change management initiatives to integrate acquired employees into the existing company culture and ensure minimal disruption.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of integration efforts and ensure objectives are met.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate integration processes and methodologies, providing recommendations for improving efficiency and effectiveness in future integrations.
  • Due Diligence Support: Assist in the due diligence process by evaluating potential integration challenges and identifying integration cost drivers and synergy opportunities.
  • Integration Best Practices: Develop and document integration best practices and lessons learned to build organizational knowledge and improve future integrations.
  • Partner with the corporate M&A team throughout the execution process as needed, including due diligence, synergy review and post-merger integration
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
  • 3+ years strategy consulting, investment banking or experience or in a strategy / corporate development capacity of leading multinational corporate
  • Experience in M&A integration within the manufacturing or supply chain sectors.
  • Experience with commercial due diligence, M&A execution, and valuation modelling
  • Strong understanding of business valuation models, financial statements, and how they relate to integration planning and execution.
  • Experience of working with and managing the expectations of a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to develop relationships and work with employees at all levels including executive leadership across a wide variety of company functions.
  • Exceptional business acumen and analytical skills to assess complex data and trends, and make informed integration decisions.

  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are a plus.
