Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI is seeking a DIRECTOR - NUTRITION & FOOD SERVICES to join our DIETARY team!

The Nutritional Services Director is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operations of the Nutrition Services Departments (including kitchen, cafeteria, and Crosswalk Café and Gifts). The director ensures compliance with patient care quality standards by working collaboratively with the Dietician and other medical staff as relates to the nutritional care to patients/residents by assessing nutritional status, planning intervention based on findings, and teaching patients the necessary nutritional information for optimum health. The director maintains performance improvement activities within the department. The director assures competency of all department and contracted personnel. The director maintains efficient and effective department operations while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and hospital/local regulatory agencies.

HOURS: Full-time or 1.0 FTE; 80 hours bi-weekly; Day Shift

Experience/Qualifications:

Required Education: Knowledge of nutritional standards and procedures normally acquired through completion of an Associated Degree in an applicable field. Completion and certificate of approved Food Service Sanitation Course and Food Manager Service Certification (or completion within six months of hire) or Registered Dietitian.

Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree in Management, Business or Related field

Preferred Experience: Minimum of two years leadership experience responsible for department operations

Required Experience: Three or more years leadership experience in the Nutrition Services field
