Description

Milton Hershey School (MHS) has almost 12,000 graduates and is seeking a Director of Alumni Relations to connect with and maintain relationships with all living alumni, as well as inspiring their active engagement in supporting young graduates and school growth. This role is an onsite position and compensates between $86K - $115K, plus an excellent benefits package.

The Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for the strategic management of the Office of Alumni Relations-including strategy, vision, coordination, staff support, and execution of all alumni-related activities-along with leading the Office's five-person staff.

The director plans and implements all local, regional, and national alumni events, programs, and outreach, which directly impact the School's alumni as well as current and future students. The director also is responsible for running the Alumni Campus, which includes general facilities management and oversight/direction for all legal, financial, budgetary, communications-related, and educational programming for alumni and the greater MHS community.

Additional responsibilities for this role include serving as relationship owner for the MHS Alumni Association, coordinating alumni volunteers to support student and parent/sponsor programming and strategic School needs, and basic fundraising in support of student-related programming, major gifts programs, planned giving, corporate relations, and other special projects and initiatives supported through separate foundations affiliated with the School.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in Alumni Relations desired. Graduate of MHS preferred.
  • Experience leading teams and overseeing financials desired.
  • Demonstrated skills achieving goals in alignment with strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated skills in innovating programming and engaging others to achieve new outcomes.
  • Demonstrated skills working independently to multi-task with fast-paced changing priorities.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
  • Candidates should be eager to actively engage with students and graduates.
