Essential Job Functions

The Women's Basketball Program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is currently recruiting for a Director of Basketball Operations/Assistant Coach. This position will report to the Head Women's Basketball Coach and will assist with all aspects of running a successful Division I Women's Basketball program, while adhering to all NCAA, UW-Green Bay, UW System and State of Wisconsin rules, regulations and policies.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program.
  • Be active on the court coaching players during skill workouts, practices and games.
  • Assist with the on campus recruitment of student-athletes, including but not limited to: development of recruiting materials to provide prospective student athletes, official and unofficial visits, breakdown of video provided by prospective student athletes.
  • Duties will be performed within the scope of the rules and regulations required by the NCAA.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for all women's basketball away games including, but not limited to, bussing, airfare, hotels, and food.
  • Prepare team travel expense reports that include required documentation for all expenses incurred and track expenses to ensure actual expenses stay within the team travel budget.
  • Organize and communicate with KEC staff for Facility scheduling in regard to practices, workouts, team functions and special events and organize all game day ticketing for home and away games.
  • Assist in fundraising for the women's basketball and athletics department; attend fundraising events as requested by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics and/or his/her designee.
  • Work with Graphic Design/Video hardware and software for creative content creation.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Working knowledge of NCAA and/or Horizon League rules and regulations
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and accept direction from supervisor and Director of Athletics and/or his/her designee

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of the UW System

Conditions of Appointment

This position requires significant travel and a varying schedule that includes nights and weekends.

Position is a full-time Limited appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Compensation and Benefits

SALARY INFORMATION

Salary range of $35,000-$40,000.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

BENEFIT DETAILS

We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.

In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually. Employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year, depending on years of service and employment type.
