Director of Business Development

Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Business Development to join an AI-focused Education Technology organization based in Washington, DC . The Director of Business Development will handle new business development, business planning, lead generation, contract negotiation, and account management. This position will be hybrid in Washington, DC!

Responsibilities Director of Business Development include:

• Generate new business in both existing and new accounts, as well as play a key role in driving strategic, Enterprise Security initiatives
• Lead qualification for leads and sales opportunities, and up-sell/leverage business from new and established customer relationships
• Ability to sell C-Level and across both IT and business units
• Ability to consistently hit and exceed a sales quota

Qualifications for the Director of Business Development include:

• Experience selling Enterprise Software Solutions (Cloud/SaaS/On-demand/on premise)
• Track record of extraordinary customer success, account management, and sales skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraint

Compensation for the Director of Business Development include:

• Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 + Commision
