Position Summary:

Facilities Management & Planning is responsible for the care and maintenance of over 5.5 million square feet of academic, research, residential, administrative & athletic facilities, on a 432 acre urban campus with an annual budget exceeding $36M with over 25 operating budget accounts. Join our team as a Director of Business Operations & Administrative Services, where you will report to the VP of Facilities Management and Planning! Key Responsibilities:

Finance
This position will manage and oversee the accounting, billing, budgeting, budget status/financial report functions for all of the Facilities Management (FM) entities and coordinate these functions with the appropriate UD departments to ensure compliance with UD procedures. Also coordinates these functions internally with all FM departments and supervisors. Acts as the fiscal officer for FM and coordinates these functions with other UD Fiscal Officers, Deans, and Department Heads. Also responsible for the oversight and analysis of the budget and budget related processes including capital fund management and daily purchasing needs. Provide financial information to the FM AVPs and Directors and counsel to the VP of Facilities Management and Planning as required. Annual budget exceeding $36M with over 25 operating budget accounts.

HR/Payroll
Manages the payroll and personnel administration functions and Kronos system for FM. Acts as FM liaison with UD departments (such as Human Resources, Equality Opportunity, Payroll, Deans, Department Heads, Fiscal Officers, etc.), FM supervisors and employees, and outside entities.

Procurement Services
Provides managerial oversight of the department's Procurement Services. Purchases exceed $35M annually, and capital projects totaling $65M.

Work Control, Stockroom & Systems
Provides managerial oversight for FM work order management system (MAXIMO) and all functions providing input, tracking, metrics, and reporting. Purchases exceed $400K annually, with a stock inventory valued at over $200K. The stockroom has an inventory of over 3,000 stocked items.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Accounting, or related field, OR in lieu of a degree, 10 years progressive experience in Accounting, Billing, Budgeting, HR/Payroll Administration, and Computing Systems
- 7 years supervisory experience
- Strong accounting, finance and analytical skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the University with strong, clear, and concise written and verbal skills
- Ability to analyze complex situations, develop practical cost/effective solutions, and maintain confidentiality
- Experience with Banner, Kronos, Cognos, Jaegger eProcuement, work order management system, and PageUp or similar programs
- Valid drivers license with low risk driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

- Master's of Business Administration or related field
- 10 years supervisory experience
- Advanced experience with Excel
- Experience in Higher Education
- Familiarity with the University's Catholic and Marianist values
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand complex financial and conceptual material
- 5 years managerial experience in a union environment
- Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities
