JOB PURPOSE:
Directs the design, implementation, and monitoring of cost accounting and strategic pricing functions for all Piedmont Healthcare entities. Responsible for the organizations cost accounting and strategic pricing policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and the application of best practice principles. Monitors performance and conducts analyses to diagnose opportunities and performance issues and develops recommendations for potential solutions. Develops and manages analytics that support both cost accounting and strategic pricing functions. Collaborates with divisions throughout the organization to ensure alignment and optimization of both cost accounting and strategic pricing objectives. Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient, employee and company data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversees cost reconciliations and provides analytics for cost structures between entities.
2. Directs the processing of the cost accounting system and compliance with Piedmont Healthcare corporate accounting policies and procedures.
3. Partners with business intelligence and data architecture resources to develop additional reconciliation and cost analytics toolsets.
4. Oversees the establishment of standardized cost accounting policies and documents their application in monthly close reporting.
5. Manages the development and review of standard and actual costs and RVUs.

6. Manages the validation of costs of goods sold datasets as part of the month-end close and accumulates and applies overhead costs as required.
7. Directs the design, implementation, and monitoring of strategic pricing functions for the organization.
8. Oversees the development and maintenance of procedure, supply and pharmaceutical pricing levels based on generally accepted policies and procedures.
9. Creates and enforces policies and procedures that effectively govern chargemaster pricing strategy and processes.
10. Directs chargemaster standardization projects with an emphasis on price transparency and reduction efforts in the healthcare marketplace.
11. Oversees the annual chargemaster pricing update process.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university in Business, Finance, Accounting, or closely-related field is required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven years of progressive work experience in cost accounting or analytics, preferably in a multi-entity healthcare environment, is required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possesses advanced computer skills with a strong knowledge of spreadsheet programs. Experience with database and decision support systems preferred. Demonstrates the ability to perform under stressful and changing circumstances and deadlines. Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
