Job Summary
Coordinates the overall assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care and patient education for the Emergency Department and Critical Care (ICU/ACC). Responsible for the provision of accurate and appropriate patient care, customer satisfaction, service growth and development, and financial success of the services. Responsible for developing and maintaining communication channels and participatory opportunities for staff, identifying, and improving faulty processes encouraging change and innovation, and recruiting, hiring, and helping new employees to maximize potential and productivity.
As the Director of Organizational Throughput this position will manage and direct the day-to-day bed capacity activities of the hospital. Responsible for directing and assessing the flow of patients from all access points through transfer, admission, and discharge.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree in Nursing or a Health Care related field required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia. Certification in area of specialty required or within 1 year of hire.
- Advanced administrative skills at the level generally acquired through at least seven (7) years in an acute care setting to include nursing practice, education, and leadership experience. Critical Care & Emergency Department experience strongly preferred. Strong fiscal skills.
- Current CPR Certification required
