As the Director of EOH&S -- North America, you will be responsible for leading and directing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our health and safety program across all our data center facilities in North America. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our health and safety program, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and fostering a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization.

* Global Leadership with Regional Execution:Develop the global health and safety objectives aligned with the company's mission and vision and drive execution across North America. Provide strategic guidance and collaborate with North American leadership to integrate health and safety initiatives into the broader organizational strategy.

* Program Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental health and safety policies, procedures, and programs that reflect industry best practices, legal requirements, and emerging trends. Ensure effective communication and dissemination of these policies across all levels of the organization.

* Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with relevant health and safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the data center industry. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, including occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and emergency preparedness protocols.

* Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and risks within the data center environment, and partner with local leadership to remediate those hazards and risks. Develop and implement effective risk management strategies, controls, and mitigation measures to minimize accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.

* Training and Education: Design and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs to employees, contractors, customers and customers' contractors, and visitors. Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability through education campaigns, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and other engagement initiatives.

* Incident Investigation and Analysis: Lead and oversee investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses, and other health and safety-related events. Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and monitor their implementation to prevent recurrence.

* Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the health and safety program. Develop regular reports and presentations for executive management and key customers, highlighting trends, progress, and areas for improvement.

* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executives, global Health & Safety leadership, operations teams, and human resources, to ensure alignment and support for health and safety initiatives. Collaborate with external customers and partners, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and contractors to promote best practices and exchange knowledge.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

* Proven experience (7 to 10 years) in health and safety leadership roles, preferably in the data center or mission-critical facilities industry.

* In-depth knowledge of applicable environmental health and safety regulations, codes, and standards, such as OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and ANSI.

* Demonstrated experience in developing and executing health and safety strategies and programs.

* Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, influence stakeholders, and drive cultural change.

* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex health and safety concepts to diverse audiences.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing effective risk management strategies.
